What types of jobs do you have?
We have a wide variety of positions, all office orientated. Secretarial, Legal Secretarial, Switchboard, Reception, Sales and Marketing, Call Centre, Customer Service, Human Resources, Administration and Clerical as a general overview.

How do I register with Rebecca Hunter Recruitment?
You can register your details on our website www.rebeccahunter.co.uk. A consultant will then call you to make arrangements for you to attend an interview at our offices, or alternatively you can call 01283 763500 to make an appointment to come in to register.

What will I need to bring to my interview?
You will need an up to date copy of your CV, 2 original forms of identification i.e. passport or birth certificate and your P45 or P60 or National Insurance card (temporary NI card not acceptable).

I am not a permanent resident in the UK, what would I need to bring to my interview?
If you are not a permanent UK resident you will need to bring along your passport and your UK issued work permit/letter from the Home Office to prove that you have been given permission to work in the UK.

I have never used an agency before. What will happen now?
Once you are fully registered with Rebecca Hunter Recruitment we will contact you when a suitable vacancy comes through that matches your skills, experience and career aspirations. You will decide whether you would like us to forward your CV for that vacancy. We will then keep you informed on your application/s.

What type of companies do you deal with?
Rebecca Hunter Recruitment has a wide variety of clients based in Birmingham and the surrounding area. The companies range from small professional companies to large blue chip organisations.

How long will it take for you to find me a job?
It is difficult to give you a specific time scale as each individual circumstance varies. Your consultant will discuss appropriate vacancies with you that match your specifications. Some companies only conduct one interview; others may conduct as many as three. Companies also differ in terms of how quickly the decision process takes. We will keep you informed about your application/s.

Do you charge me as an applicant using the services of Rebecca Hunter Recruitment?
No we do not. Our service to you is entirely free.

Do you keep my details on file indefinitely?
We will keep your details updated and will contact you with positions until you are successfully starting a new job. We will then keep your details on our dormant database so that you can use our services again if required.

Do I have to meet a consultant, or can I be forwarded for roles without registration?
All candidates have an in-depth one to one interview before we would submit your details to a client. This enables us to get to know you in order to match your experience, skills and personality to our client’s requirements and specifications. We also require original proof of identity during your registration in order to further the recruitment process.

How long is the registration process?
The registration process takes approximately 1 – 1.5 hours. This includes assessment testing (e.g. computer literacy) and an interview with one or more of our consultants.

I have a permanent job; will you contact my current Employer to obtain a reference?
Your current employer will only be contacted when you accept an offer of employment and you have handed in your notice. References you have provided will then be obtained by your new employer.

If I am temping for Rebecca Hunter Recruitment, how will I get paid?
You will be given a timesheet to complete during your assignment, to log the hours you have worked. The time sheet then needs to be signed off by the person you are working for at the end of the assignment or at the end of the week (whichever is sooner) and faxed/posted to us or dropped off at our offices by the following Monday 10am. Your timesheet will be processed and your wages will be paid directly into your bank account the following Friday. Our temps are paid every Friday directly into their bank accounts.

Am I entitled to holiday pay?
Yes. Your holiday pay is accrued based on the hours you have temped, up to a maximum of 20 days per year (your year starts from the day you commence temping for Rebecca Hunter Recruitment). Holiday pay is paid on top of your hourly rate.

How do I request holiday?
A holiday request form needs to be obtained, completed and returned back to the agency. You need to give Rebecca Hunter Recruitment notice of twice the length of the period of leave you wish to take. (E.g. you want to take one week off; you need to give two weeks notice).

When must my timesheet be submitted by?
Your timesheet needs to be with us by Monday 10am. If you miss this deadline, your timesheet will be added to the following week’s payroll.

I don’t have my P45 from my last workplace, what do I need to do?
You will be provided with a P46, which you will need to complete during your registration. Rebecca Hunter Recruitment will send the completed form to the tax office for you. When your ex-employer sends you your P45 this needs to be given to our accounts department, where they will make the adjustments to your tax code.

I am a full-time student; do I need to pay tax?
During holiday periods you will not pay tax. If you work during term time you are eligible to pay tax. You will need to complete a P38 which we will process for you.
